Mernda Fire Brigade – 5o Years Young!

On Sunday, 29th October 2023, Mernda Fire Brigade celebrated a massive milestone… we turned 50!

Starting from a shed behind the Mechanics Institute with brigade built trucks to our current station on Schotters Road with a modern Pumper, Tanker, FCV and Rehab, our brigade has come a long way.

It has been a privilege to be able to serve the community of Mernda and surrounds for such a period and we certainly look forward to the next 50 years.

Over 300 volunteer members have been part of the brigade since October 1973 and we thank every one of them for their time, dedication and service to the community.
